Summer Pool Safety

A few seconds is all it can take for a child to drown. Most incidents happen in a family's backyard swimming pool, but children can also drown in buckets, bathtubs, toilets, dog water bowls and ponds. Drowning and near drowning can be prevented by following safety precautions, such as knowing where your children are at all times when they are near water, using an approved barrier to separate the pool from the house, and never allowing children to be alone near a pool or water source.
